Educated in Japan and in the U.S., he has worked with a number of private, government and non-profit organizations in the fields of Aerospace, Civil & Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Commerce, Internet & Information, and Applied Superconductor Technologies. He directed multiple early-stage venture operations with multi-million dollar investments, which include companies acquired by Fidelity Ventures, Oracle Corporation, Royal Philips Electronics, QinetiQ North America, and other major global enterprises.
He was instrumental in the transfer of magnetically levitated high-speed transportation technology (using superconducting magnets) back to the U.S. during the National Maglev Initiative formed by the DOT, the USACE, the Department of Energy (DOE), and other U.S. agencies.
While he was a Research Fellow at the Center for International Relations at Boston University, his first international paper was published on Aerospace Technology Joint Venture by the American Astronautical Society. Since then, he has been active in publishing and presenting his ideas on international technological cooperations. Mr. Kuroki has been a reporter for one of the bi-weekly publications by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) on a series of articles entitled "VENTURE BUSINESS FRONT LINE" since September 2001.
He has been the head instructor of a Kendo program (The Way of The Japanese Sword) at Medford Community Schools since 1994 and the head coach for Wellesley College Kendo Club since 2009.
